Inverter fridges cost about ৳8,000–12,000 more. We ran a 340L inverter model and a normal model side by side for 90 days to see if the saving is real.
The result
The inverter fridge used about 32% less electricity. On a typical DESCO tariff that is roughly ৳250–300 less per month, so the extra cost is recovered in about three years.
Tip: Inverter fridges also handle voltage drops better, which matters in areas with frequent load-shedding.
